Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient billing records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding systems and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to identify appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered
- Assign accurate ICD-10 codes to ensure proper billing
- Enter coded information into billing software or electronic health record systems
- Generate and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any issues or discrepancies
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain patient billing records and update information as necessary
- Adhere to all relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines
- Manage accounts receivables
- Research and resolve insurance claims
- Interpret EOB and post payments
- Charge Posting
- Perform patient collections activities, including calls on past due accounts
- Provide exceptional billing customer service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10) and procedures
- Familiarity with medical office operations and billing processes
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and billing software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
